its been over two weeks since i've fallen sick and i'm not even close to getting back up on my own two feet anytime soon, its so ridiculous. i'm either bedridden in between a box of tissues and a cabinet full of antibiotics or at work delirious and coughing - spreading this curse of a disease! i feel like my holidays are quickly wasting away. working every weekday with saturdays optional means i've had to squeeze in nights in between to see the girls, the boyf and a seldom night in with a few highschool friends which i admit i thoroughly enjoyed despite how sick and ghastly i was hahaha although i've had a lot of fun it definitely still does not feel like the holidays. So, in honour of the days i've already wasted, i'm organising an outting this weekend and if it doesn't make up it i will be a berry berry angry girl! i also miss nice quiet nights that didn't involve a coughing fit, i cough so hard i feel like i'm about to cough my guts out.... and theres the pleasant visual for the day. on a different note though, paul and i watched transformers on sunday which I enjoyed, paul enjoyed it a little more then i did though - i guess movies tend to have that effect on my boyf when they include hot babes like megan fox and isabel lucas! hahaha and yesterday amelia, tammy, fi, nina, eric, anthony and i went to see Ice Age 3 in 3d. We were probably the eldest in the cinema - BUT I DIDNT CARE, IT WAS AWESOME! I laughed so hard and the 3d effects made it even better :) Can not wait to see UP! hehehe Also can not wait to get started on The Beautiful Life! Melia what are you doing to me! I'm so devastated that Clare wasn't in the top 2 for AusNTM, she was my favourite and she was by far the best! :( Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To: Xiu, anonymous, X0X.kate.X0X, Pepe, person and anon The outfit i wore to the Black Party Cruise was actually a dress not a skirt+top, its "The Hollywood dress" by KUKU, which i bought from Modestie in Liverpool Westfields. It was actually on the mannequin when I saw it - i fell for it right away! yourbiggestfan: hey annie have u ever considered doing a vlog? i would totally subscribe if u had a vlog channel on youtube! please be a makeup guru and show us how u did your makeup for the cruise!!!!!! you looked so gorgeous!!!!I'm sorry there matey but I don't think I'd ever do a vlog for the life of me! And thats not because I don't appreciate vloggers - its just that some days I'm sitting here wracking my brain out trying to think of something interesting to blog about, if I attempted to vlog, the video would probably be a couple minutes of awkward conversation fillers hahahha I also look really uncomfortable speaking into a video recorder as if I had an audience: "Hi I'm annie and this is my first vlog....ummmmmmmm....." ....queue for the tumbleweed to roll by. hello: annieo :P for this photo of you: http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv30/anniepophoto/5075_115340696095_628586095_2882805.jpg how did you do your eyeshadow? its really pretty :)i'm sorry hello but the link to the picture doesn't work for me so I don't really know which photo you're asking about! nameee: hey annie what false eyelashes do u use? wher do u get them and how much? they seem more real than other ones iv seen thankssshello namee! my mum actually gets cheap false eyelashes in by the boxful from friends in Vietnam, she has cupboards full of cheap and never heard of before false eyelash brands, from what I can see in the picture I took theres M.O.D.E.L, Apex Eyelash and a random pair of Manicare lashes that I haven't used yet, but I don't intend on using other falsies till we get through them all! hahaha person: annie how do you do your makeup and hair? and where did you get your dress from? i have an 18th coming up and i'd really love to recreate your look. you were stunning babes! xhey person! If you scroll up just a teeny bit you'll see the details I wrote about the dress :) and yes I did do my own hair and makeup and there really wasn't much to it and I have no clue how i'd be able to communicate a how-to tutorial across to you via blog, if you were here i'd be able to show you nice and easy! haha. have fun at your 18th love! and because of my blog neglection i apologise if i've missed your question! to make it up to you here is a photo of courtney getting raped by ivan's dog hahahha <3

huge photo flood! Exams are finally over and life is back on track! The night after my last exam was a night to celebrate at the Black Party Harbour Cruise. I had a great night with my favourite girls (minus Amy, the faggot) but on the downside I got really sick the next day and I'm still sick as hell right now. I've never been this sick before in my life. Paul gave me medicine and made sure i was nice and warm, thankyou :) it was also his birthday Monday, took him to go shopping at Newtown then dinner at Wagaya with his friends. Fried oysters were SO damn good! Happy Birthday babe! kisskisshughug I also just got a job as a Sales Consultant for FuturePeople which I'm starting on Monday and I'm considering a second job as a Receptionist for Paul's dad's Accounting firm, looks like its going to be a busy holiday! ive only got one question to answer for this entry, clearly my blog hit rate is through the roof! hahahaha Liana: hey annie! i recently got the body shops sparkle eyeliner & am completely baffled as to how to apply it! any ideas?! thanks love xhello liana! Well I don't have the body shops sparkle eyeliner so I don't know if I'm much help but I do have something similar thats also felt tip, when I apply it I line my eyes in the inner corners and below my waterline first with a lighter matte eyeliner - like, if the sparkle is silver i'll use a white eyeliner then i'll line the sparkle eyeliner on top. My hands are pretty unsteady so I find it hard to apply felt tip liners on neatly, it takes me a while to get the job done hahaha

if that wasn't death then it sure as hell comes close!
i've been on hiatus since two weeks before my final exam period commenced and amidst the complete and utter stress i was in, it made me wonder two things - a) how i was even able to keep my blog up and running for as long as it has and b) if i was ever going to get my normal life back haha.
i've never felt so unmotivated but i guess that's the cost of cramming, along with a bad diet, bad sleeping patterns, too much coffee and terrible skin! Even so, here i am, back on the blogging bandwagon. And its actually quite refreshing :)
I still have one exam to go before I'm done for the semester. My last exam is the day before the Black Party Harbour Cruise which means pulling together a last minute outfit, getting back into shape and hoping my skin will clear up before then...a task i will now name: THE IMPOSSIBLE! But a few good drinks with good company sure couldn't sound any more blissful then it does right now and after busting my back to keep upw ith ticket requests from last minute buyers - i'm not about to let anybody rain on my parade! hahaha
Lisa's birthday just passed, one of my favourite tiny friends :) Lisa and I had an exam the day before and after she turned 19, so while studying at my house after our first exam, when the clock struck 12 Amelia and I surprised her with a birthday cake, Happy Birthday little Lisa!

Amelia was talking about the Marshmallow range from MOR which sounded so yummy! so i decided to get something from there for Lisa but after smelling it in store it wasnt quite as marshmallowy as i thought it would be :( I ended up picking MOR's frangipani body butter which is possibly the best smell in the world! I want! I want! And three NYX glosses in "Lollipop" and two others I can't remember

We celebrated at Lisa's fave - Wagaya, which I loved. Our private room made it feel like home, everything was so delicious and I don't think I've lauged like that in SO long!

Me being the genius I am, still cutting myself out of the photo after specifically putting it on timer.

yummy!

During the time I've had exams so many birthdays have passed, my family went to Brighton to stay for the long weekend while I stayed depressingly at home, both of my laptops have been broken and fixed again andnow it feels like the worls is just about done with exams. The saying should really go: "TIme flies when you're NOT having fun!"
And in total Twitter style: Check out what Paul and I were eating, he also took me to a place that serves fried sushi the other day...and I wonder why I grow sideways not upways!
hopefully get back to old blogging rhythms soon! and when i do i'll be sure to get to answering questions :) but until then, TTFN!

My posts will get pretty irregular from here on - my laptop caught some nasty viruses and is still recovering (currently blogging via mum's computer) + final exams in a little over two weeks time and I am stressed! Friday night (22/05/09) was our 2 year anniversary - Paul and I had dinner at the top level of Centrepoint Tower. The view was gorgeous, the dim lights were romantic hehe but since the floor rotates so we could get a full 360 view while we eat - it meant that the buffet kept rotating away and Paul and I got lost a few times walking back to our table lol! I wasn't sure what occassion it was on ground level but there was a building shooting fireworks, needless to say, Paul and I were too busy clearing out the tray of oysters at the buffet to even notice hahahaha! I had a lovely night so I bought the $35 photo of Paul and I that the photographer took of us, wasn't the best photo but surely a memory worthy of the $35 hahaha. The dinner was followed by a movie and sleep (well I slept, paul played pokemon on his DS...hahaha). I actually fell asleep a lot earlier then usual - spent the night before prepping the scrapbook! The simplest but my favourite page. The photo of us walking along the beach on the trip to Terrigal. happy two years babe and thankyou for such a beautiful night, I Love You <3 Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: hey annie have you got your NARS lipgloss in harlow yet? I really want to see the swatch!!Well Name, I kind of had a NYX Haul (which I blame entirely on Tammy lol!) the other day so I'll also add in their swatches for you. NYX Lipstick "Orange Soda" + "Celene" NARS Lipgloss "Striptease" + "Harlow" NYX Lipgloss "Taupe", "Frosteed Beige", "Sweet Heart", "Baby Rose" NYX Eyeshadow trio - "Orange/Golden Orange/Peach" NYX Eyeshadow trio - "White/Grey/Black" NYX Single Eyeshadow "Oro" NYX Charcoal Eyebrow/liner crayon pencil NYX White Eyebrow/liner crayon pencil The Harlow is a silvery mauve colour, I'd probably use it as a gloss over lipstick though. The harlow by itself can make your face look a bit, dead(?). Couldn't think of a good enough adjective there hahaha My favourites of the NYX haul would have to be the single eyeshadow and the eyeshadow trios! Shadows were all beautifully pigmented (especially the black!) and glide on so well. I think the only reason I was drawn to the lippies was for their range of colours. I love the lipsticks, the glosses are sort of scented though which I don't like but they're relatively okay, not as pigmented as NARS but I like the colours, my only regret was the "Baby Rose" (which was basically clear gloss with glitter). You can purchase NYX products at Cherryculture or Libery Distributorsj: 1. What do you do to your hair to get it to look like that? Do you blow-dry/straighten/curl/tease it? 2. What brand are your contact lenses, where do you get them from and how much were they? sorry to bombard you with questions, i'm a curious one ROFL.Hello j! I never blowdry my hair, I basically sleep with wet hair and wake up with bed hair. If my bedhair is looking a bit flat I'd tease it to rough it up a little but besides that, my hair is a natural mess...and very hard to maintain :( My contact lenses are freshlook colourblends, they're actually prescribed (-1.5) and from my optometrist, I claim them from Healthcare every year. I know I wasn't much of a help so theres really no need to apologise for the questions j hahaha nikki: just wondering what you'd recommend wearing with a leather jacket?? i'm looking to buy one but just don't feel like i can pull it off like the models do =(oh nikki I would have no idea where to start for this question haha, I find that leather jackets are easily teamed up with so many things. Be it with your party dress and pumps, oversized tee and leggings or plain singlet and tulle skirt - almost anything my dear! Just keep the outfit simple and don't over accessorise around the neck and ears hehehe. If you like you could try to browse around for a good outfit combo here or play around and create your own, regardless though I'm sure you'll look gorgeous in anything nikki :) Elle: Wow... where was the location you had your shoot? So nice!Okay Nina you have to step in and answer this one because honestly Elle - no idea where we were! mandy: annieo! i need help with MAC powders...i was looking at like compacted ones and loose powder ones and its confusing! Why hellooo mandy hahaha, well I might be wrong but I think the difference between the compacted and loose powders are their coverage(?). You're best off asking one of the MAC girls though. I personally am quite unexperienced with the powders, so feel free to jot down a few helper points with loose/pressed powders in the comments! Here's some better answers from more experienced commenters, keep em' coming in the comments section guys! i appreciate them all very, very much :) [EDIT] suzy: just for your own reference, there's no difference in coverage between loose and pressed powders. it only falls down to personal preference. coverage is only dependent on the tools you use, for example the density and size of your brush or whether you use a powder puff etc. hope that clears it up for you!
lisa: and hmmmmm...to me theres a difference in coverage for the loose & pressed powders. my choice is loose powder because the pressed powder has more consistency but just cakes on my face. [/EDIT] I've also found the following info that might be useful for you: Loose powder is the best for setting your makeup when it is first applied. It is also the best option if you have oily skin. Loose powder contains more oil absorbers than pressed powder. Pressed powder is easier and less messy than loose powder. Pressed is a great choice for traveling and for touch ups throughout the day. ness: hey annie! i love your shoes in the photo shoot! where and how much did you get them for? :)Hello love! The shoes are Tony Bianco "Ecstasy" in Black Milan, I actaully got mine a while ago for $129.95 and they're probably now dirt cheap! I can not remember which store I got it from exactly but they were from Parramatta Westfields.

me thinks i has the piggie flu.:
Still recovering from catching the flu this week - about my tenth time this year. I've been a little discouraged from blogging as of recent, mainly because life hasn't been very eventful but I will soldier on and today I have some photos to post from a photoshoot with Nina. Tammy and Amelia also took some realllyy beautiful shots but I'll ask for their approval before posting (see? I DO listen to your requests! :D) and when they give me their thumbs up I'll edit this entry with more photos. YES! edited some photos of Tammy and she's allowing me to post these to the public, they are seriously so gorgeous. please have your drool-buckets ready!! Model: Tammy Photographer: Nina Edited by yours truly and my favourite photo! face to die for! [EDIT] amelia only let me choose two pictures to post. i will try to convince her otherwise because they are so nice and shouldn't be put to waste!! my favourite, one of the first shots of the day [/EDIT] It was a fun shoot today Nina! :) Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- juz: i prefer ur blogs on ur latest buys over make up tips ^_^ love ur styleeee!!!! I will keep that in mind when I post ;) anony: annie, can you please write up some help for tosrting through supre junk and getting some awsome buys, like you always seem to do I wish I could give you some handy tips but I really have nothing haha. Its just a matter of sheer luck, sometimes you'll come across something that catches your eye, other times you wished you gave the store a miss.anna =): hi annie, hope uni is going well. any plans for the upcoming break? hello lovely anna :) uni is as stressful as always, might plan a trip with the boyf for the upcoming break, we were meant to for our 2 year anniversary coming up next Friday but its a bit too late to plan it in time, clearly we are such noobheads. vee: hey this is really short notice but do you know where i can get a nice white cocktail/clubbing dress? need it for a friend's party fri night >< i am SO sorry I didn't get around to checking up on my blog until today vee! I hope you had a fantastic and safe night and I'm sure you look dazzling no matter what you wear!M.: So it was you that i saw! Woulve said hi but the train was leaving the station. thats when i looked out the window and saw you =( M, it was just my fault as it was yours, I didn't pay any attention to the train when I got off so I would've walked straight past you regardless of your friendly wave :( we should hi5 next time HAHA!person: omgsh! thanks so much for helping me with the primers/concealers. Just another tiny question, was the shipping cost for the UDPP alot? happy to be of assistance :) I actually purchased two UDPP bottles at a time (one for myself and the other for tammy) and shipping for both was US $3.00. You might be able to find a seller who offers free shipping on ebay though!now on an end note, encouraging comments give me the willpower to update for you guys, so don't go thinking they're unappreciated - thankyou :) P.S old granny annie over here may have missed a few questions, let me know if I've left any unanswered and feel free to:

housekeeping + hydraluminous
I feel like I'm surrendering myself as a civilian here - "Take me instead! Please let my friends and family go!" hahaha. But in all seriousness. By blogging we open up ourselves to judgement and to only receive good judgement is pretty much close to impossible. We can't control how you think and feel but when you choose to voice your opinion I'd like to ask you the one tiny favour of avoiding affronting other people. Of course the ball is in your court, but guys - your only opponent here is me, not anybody else! I feel like I have to do some housekeeping around here since I've been so MIA. Answering not-so-recently asked questions and filtering my tagboard comments. This is going to be a task! I'll try to get back into old blogging habits soon but for now this housekeeping entry will have to suffice. Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- anon: hello love just wondering if the NARS laguna is shimmery? i don't really like shimmery bronzers (ie MAC bronzer), how much it is and what products are on your wishlist?hello anon! the bronzer itself is $72, the bronzer/blush duo is $70. you'd also be delighted to hear that the NARS laguna has minimal glitter! its a more of a natural bronzer rather than a shimmery one like the MAC bronzer, you'd definite take a liking to it! And its funny you ask because I actually have a wishlist devised hehehe - MAC Strobe liquid - MAC Shooting Star MSF - Bronze Universal De Chanel - Benefit Hoola - Bobbi Brown Bronze shimmerbrick - YSL Sun powder - Prescriptives Light Bronzing Trio - Stila Sun N Highlighter - Cargo Medium Matte - little bit of shimmer - Too faced lash injection - Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - MAC mineralize skin finish 'So Ceylon' I'm pretty keen to try out the Strobe liquid from MAC's SS09 'Hydraluminous' collection. Totally digging the play on light - dewy skin with bare lids and lips, love! Just incase you guys are thinking of ordering online i've included the flyer with the offer code for free shipping of 2 products at the beginning of this entry ;)
=): hey annieo, how much the NARS lipgloss was?hello sweets! the NARS lipgloss was $55 M.: Annie, were you at birrong station today? if not then nvm x) heheI actually was at birrong station this week so yes it was most likely me, if this is the same M from previous comments, girl you should have said hello! hahaha A: i'm curious as to what you look like without makeup... but i understand if you're not comfortable with showing the world your morning face. haha god knows im not! :PHmm, letting you guys see me without makeup? I'd be cruel to do such a thing! Hahaha honestly I'm ghastly, but I'll have to ponder on this one, whether I decide to post a picture up without my face on - we'll just have to wait and see haha. If I do so please be sympathetic - my nude face is actually a sacred thing I've only shared between my boyfriend, family and close friends. Only some of them have managed to get rid of the nightmares so far hahahhaa nsm: hi, where did you order your nars products from? & how much was the blush/bronzer duo? :)hello nsm! I purchased my NARS from Myer in the City and the blush/bronzer duo is $70. anon: is the bronzer/blush duo big enough to use?Hmmm I'd say the bronzer/blush duo is an okay size considering you don't need that much product because of its pigmentation. It will be a while till I hit pan! Its very convenient to carry around but I purchased the duo because I was unsure which one to choose. If you're interested in the bronzer then for an extra $2 you could purchase the bronzing powder by itself and its a very generous amount. TINA: hey babes =] what do you use to clean your makeup brushes? hey tina, I use the Brush Cleaner from MAC, they're just $20 a bottle!

Boring entry today, just trying to keep updates regular and couldn't contain myself for my new NARS! So what I haven't mentioned yet is that my MAC Bronzing Powder in Bronze actually crumbled last week in my bag on the night of Eric's birthday. Even though the girls at MAC were nice enough to give me a brand new compact its made me rather stand-offish with my MAC Bronzer, its also not as pigmented as I expected to be. But low and behold - NARS Laguna has saved me! I wasn't sure whether I wanted a Bronzer or a Blush so I bought the Orgasm/Laguna Duo and I couldn't be happier! NARS Laguna is much more pigmented then the MAC Bronze and works well sheer but is also easy to build up. In the swatches below I did two swipes of the Orgasm and Laguna but had to do multiple swipes of the MAC Bronze for the colour to show up. So right now my three absolute loves just have to be: Urban Decay Primer Potion - miracle potion, not a crease in sight! NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo - beautiful colours, highly pigmented, long lasting NARS Striptease - the most perfect shade I could ask for Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- supercool: annie, try becca mineral primer its the bestest ive tried, ive tried about 10 dif ones :)question, how sheer is striptease on you? cause id love it to be opaque should i got for it?Supercool and suzy from the comment below, since I've been hearing such good things about Becca I'll definitely give the mineral primer and concealer a go! Thanks for the reccomendations guys :) Supercool - I personally love the Striptease but depending on how opaque you wanted the gloss to be i'm not sure if the Striptease would be opaque enough for you. Its actually a light beige pigmented gloss. If you want 100% opacity then go for the NARS in Triple X which is the clear gloss but apart from that looking at the other NARS glosses I'd say that the Striptease is pigmented, relatively sheer and you'd love it regardless. My favs for NARS glosses would have to be:Striptease, Harlow and Turkish Delight. I took a quick pic while I still had the Striptease on below if that helps haha. Big face and squinty eyes for your viewing displeasure. i also found this clip which might be more useful to you if you really wanted to purchase yourself a NARS gloss but weren't sure which one :) suzy: try becca for great concealers. they have over 30 shades so it's almost impossible not to find a match. it also has 2 consistencies in the same pot (extra coverage and medium coverage) which is really handy p.s does your friend tammy have a bf? i think i saw her in the city recently but i'm not quite sure! Hello Suzy! hehe yes my little friend Tammy has been with her boy for about 3 years now. She enjoys long walks on the beach and frollicking about in the City in her spare time so yes, it was most likely her hahahaha! kate: wow i always thought the too faced shadow insurance was a lot smaller then the urban decay primer potion. how big is the UDPP?hey kate, before i ordered the UDPP i thought it would be bigger in person too but its about the same length as my phone. works wonders though so i highly commend you get the UDPP! k: hi annie, all the americans order their cosmetics from sephora but us australians dont have it :( do you know where i can buy NARS cosmetics online?Hello love! If I'm not bothered to travel and don't mind the wait I'll purchase from meccacosmetica :) j: you are probably sick of hearing this, but you are so glam! haha.anyways, i LOVE your make-up in the photos and i was wondering if you could please list the products you used so that i can attempt to recreate it (and probably fail miserably LOL!).thanks.x i wouldn't call it glam hahaha but you're very sweet j :) I actually used my j'adore pallette and theres way too many colours on there to distinguish from so I'll take a few snaps of what I used for you next entry, I'm sorry I couldn't post them for this entry though - pinky promise it for the next! and dont fret, there isn't much to it I'm sure you'd succeed dramatically rather then fail miserably hehehe if you liked how it looked on me then its a definite that you'd love how it will look on you! <3

loves you when you're inappropriate
- Cobalt Lux Sateen Jacket - Sportsgirl $149.95 Oversized black top - Markets $20 Stockings - Sportsgirl $14.95 Jewellery - safety pin necklace - Sportsgirl long silver beads necklace - Witchery silver hoops necklace - DIY (chain and small hoops from beadstore) -
Not much going on with the pictures, just wanted to experiment with the cloning brush and different colour variations. i already wreak enough havoc alone, imagine two. Would be nice to have a twin to share clothes and chitchat with though :) So today i'll attempt to give a few pointers on DIY studding, keep in mind though that studding my jacket was also my first time hahaha. The studs I used were from Spotlight but to use these I actually had to pierce my jacket, for others like Alice who don't want to pierce their clothing try to look for flat back studs in the Craft section of your store.
The studs are fairly flexible so using them is simple as simple gets! Mark where you'd like to place the studs on your item of choice then before you pierce the studs through bend the pincer-like points at the back of your studs so they're relatively vertical like the second picture. This is because if the points are too far apart like the first picture, when you get to pushing the points inwards it will also push the material inwards causing it to crinkle.
Place the studs where you've marked and pierce it through, you can use your hands or use jeweler pliers like the following. If you use the jeweler pliers to bend the points inwards the points will arch inwards in the shape of the pliers and claw into your material which clings on more securely then it would if you just used your hands. If you're planning to use flat back studs try looking for a permanent white glue to stick it on your item but depending on your material you're best off asking the store assistant for the most suitable adhesive, make sure its safe to use the glue on your fabric! You could also use studs with tiny holes which you can sew onto your clothing but that might take a little more effort and time to put in place. Another alternative is looking for a gem styler, it acts like a staple and staples gems, rhinestones and studs to your items and voila! there you have it, your own little DIY creation :) Oh yes and I should mention that whatever you add studs to can only be handwashed! Okay i'm now going to sabotage this entry with photos. the following photos are from eric's birthday at the Bavarian and CEO, the exact same places where li's birthday was held, happy birthday eric our very own 50cent! Photos by Nina:
Q&A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- person: hey annie just wondering could you utell me the difference between concealer and primer? and when / what are they used for? thanksss
I apologise in advance for the quality of this answer, i'm typing what i know from the top of my head but according to my knowledge - primers are used on your face before applying any make up. Its a make up base and it helps make up glide on easier and last longer, eyeshadow primers also help prevent creasing. The two eyeshadow primers i'd reccommend are Urban Decay primer potion (now comes with new wand!) and Too Faced shadow insurance.
As for face primers i'm currently using Face of Australia face base primer which I find isn't much different from using any other moisteriser, if you guys have any face primer suggestions send them this way!
Concealers are used to cover dark spots, red sports, dark circles under the eyes - generally wherever your skin tone appears uneven. Apply your concealer before your foundation. I actually have a MAC paint pot which is an eyeshadow base but works well as a concealer and is longer coverage. I found this out from a MAC counter girl but if you guys have any concealer suggestions again, send them this way :)
anna =): annie, what shampoo do you use? your hair always looks so good and not frizzy with flyaways like mine LOL btw annie have you ever thought of doing make up professionally? i would so want you to do my make up on special occassions=) i would pay you of course LOL
Anna! if you look closely my hair is actually really unhealthy, i call it my garden of split ends haha. I use Pantene which does help but i've put off trimming my hair and have dyed it one too many times for it to be in tip top shape .
and it was sweet of you to ask but no I've never considered doing make up professionally, i'm definite that other professional make up artists put me to shame hahaha but i enjoy doing it as a hobby, free of charge :) :D: Annie love, what does the NARS in Striptease look like on? I've been doing research and watching reviews and seems like NARS lipglosses are the best quality glosses and I'm interested in Striptease but I haven't found swatch pictures yet. Thankyou in advance =)I'm actually wearing the NARS in Striptease in photos from eric's birthday if you'd like to have a browse through them. I love the Striptease, its such a beautiful nude colour i'm going to buy NARS religiously from here on. I'm still waiting on the Harlow, the Harlow is a frostier colour, its a very light shimmery mauve. I usually hate glosses because most of them chapped my lips but NARS glosses are the exception! they're definitely great quality and long lasting, i think all the colours are great it just really depends on how well it suits your skin tone and your make up. As for me, Striptease is my pick! If you really want a close up i'll post it up next entry but i feel kind of odd taking photos of only my lips, they're quite unattractive hahaha.

i think its about time for another update, oui? (and since 'anonieO' requested i list price and place of purchases)- black sequined scarf - Sportsgirl $39.95 Zebra printed dress - Sportsgirl $149.95Camera tripod - Dad's tripod from the 80's- Its that period again, between mid sems and finals when ALL the assignments seem to be due so i apologise for my absence (like it mattered haha). The upside to this is cycle 5 of AusNTM is finally here (lola is my fav so far!). We celebrated Mother's Day early this year. Tonight we went to Hoa Binh for a mother's day event, mummy also sang tonight, my brother and I gave her a diamond necklace and matching earrings which she loved :) Can't wait to hit the gym with mummy and personal trainer next Monday! The most exercise I've been getting recently is the exhausting routine of trying to squeeze back into last year's jeans :( Paul and I also watched Wolverine yesterday - he kept on prohibiting me to look at the cinema screen! but I don't blame him .. one of Hugh Jackman's co-stars were DANIEL HENNEY ((INSERT SEXY MUSIC HERE!!)) but he didn't look too good in this one, especially near the end. Hugh Jackman on the other hand....yeah okay I don't think I paid too much attention to the plot so my review of this movie would be really useless. llloveeee you Paul :) and while we're on the topic of useless, this entry is just so I can catch up on the questions I've missed while I was hiatus-ing away. So here it goes! Linda: hi annieo just wanted to ask you what cosmetics do you have in your bag when youre on the go?Well Linda, I decided to empty my bag on my infamous red couch for some visual stimuli to my answer hahaha. So, cosmetics I usually take with me when I'm on the go (along with my life story, I'm sorry for that. I can't stop myself from rambling): MAC Bronzing Powder - I mentioned a while ago that I used Napoleon Mosaic Bronzer, I've actually used Napoleon's bronzing powder for about 2 years now but when the product has nearly reached its end it crumbles and leaves nasty stains in my bags. So hopefully the MAC doesn't dissapoint (it was also a lot cheaper!). I'm also waiting on my NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo to arrive in the mail! MAC 129 All-purpose (powder/blush) brush - if theres space of course - if i'm carrying a clutch i'd swap it for my tiny little NARS contour brush I got free with my NARS AngelikaNYX Black eyeliner pencilMAC liquid linerNARS lipgloss in Striptease - which i LOVE! I tried on Harlow last week and I also LOVE! Unfortunately they didn't have any in stock so I ordered it in for next Tues! Bourjois Ombre Stretch Black eyeshadow - made with stretchable nylon micro-spheres! and comes with brush inside. Paul complained when I bought this one, he thinks I got ripped off and that the nylon micro-spheres are bs (because he's quite the make up expert, aren't you babe? haha) michelle: hey annie babes, do you shop at supre?hello michelle! well when I shop I don't shop for supre but I guess i do shop at supre at times. when I've made my rounds and I still haven't found anything impressive, i'll browse around the stores i've yet to visit and if Supre is close then heck, Supre it is! hahaha. Sometimes i'm actually pleasantly surprised, i found the following belt from Supre: To be honest the basics from Supre like their singlets and cardigans aren't half bad but am I mean to say that there are a fair few things in Supre which bug me. Bug me quite a lot actually. Especially the Supre fads that spread faster then swine flu - "I Love My Boyfriend" and "Beached as" tops, not happening for me.
Mandy: facebooked you!! mm where did u get the studs from? im looking for them to stick on jeans and to fix my sportsgirl bag which broke when i got it =( Mandy! studs were from Spotlight which I can see from your facebook comment that you've already figured that one out haha, i'm looking forward to seeing your studded thrifted jacket! make sure you update with heaps of oogly eye candy!
And speaking of which. Guys, I appreciate all comments, I really do. However, what I don't appreciate is when those comments are negatively directed to other people. This is my blog and you are free to critique me but catting away about other people is kind of pushing it. anon 2: Annie, i want to ask. How did you afford to buy those last two LV bags? You dont work, i dont think you could save up that much Youth allowance for the bags while buying all your other clothes/food/petrol/insurance. Is it from your parents? Because thats all that comes into mind, that they work long hours to you can have a high end designer handbag? Im not hating just wondering so i can use your technique of allocating my money. Well anon2 to be fair, those LV bags aren't entirely mine, my mum is just as obsessed with designer handbags, wallets and clutches as i am and we're happy sharing our bag interests and uses!
Its hard to explain this without it coming off as gloating but in order to justify the bag buys - besides both my parents working they've also invested in great estates and receive a fair amount of rent from each and my dad always knows the right times to buy and sell, we sell dresses not just at home but also directly to some stores and usually in one day we'll recieve plenty of doorebell rings from customers. having said so, after their day jobs my parents are HARDLY ever home on weeknights and weekends, they attend and host a lot of functions and events and for folks their age they sure know how to party! hahaha.
mmanon: Do you know how much the 2.55 bag is? thanks in advance Hello anon, according to my memory I'm sure it was $4600. If you decide to purchase the 2.55 i'd love to see pictures of your beautiful new CC baby!
anon: hey annie, do you know when gucci normally have sales?
Unfortunatley I have no clue when Gucci normally have sales. I'm not really 'with it' for Gucci but my mum is, apparently there is currently a sale but my sources may be unreliable. My best bet is to post up your question here, best forum for bags ever!
hayley: thanks so much for the help and suggestions
glad I was able to assist you in one way or another hayley :)
jen: is there any chance you could do a HOW TO: stud tutorial? i really wanted to stud some jackets and shoes!! i've seen items on fasion blogs but i don't know how to!! TEACH ME? please. // wendy: how do i do DIY studding? do i sew or glue the studs on? // alice: oh annie! i'm so happy you did a post on thrifted and studded items!! i have so many questions!! .. 1. so if i stud my jackets - how do i do it so the sharp thing on the other side doesnt jab through?
guys - since I won't have anything interesting to say for my next post i'll be sure to add in a DIY stud tutorial. There really isn't much to it but I'll try to include different ways you could stud your jacket (and a way to do it so the sharp thing on the other side doesn't jab through hehe)
alice: and your purchases are so lovely!! where do you go for thifted items? i never find anything i like but your items are so beautiful!!//anony: which op shop did you go to find that juicy couture necklace? alice, anony and others that have asked, i've listed down the place of my thrift purchases: Juicy Couture necklace - Salvos in Chesterhill Black bag - Salvos in Chesterhill Black jacket - Vinnies in Bonnyrigg White/Navy blazer - Salvos in Moorebank Silver bag - Vinnies in Chesterhill
my pick for op-shopping would HAVE to be Salvos in Chesterhill. The store has only recently opened and the place is huge. Out of all the other op-shops they had the nicest bags, a lot more branded items but they may set the price a tiny bit higher then other op-shops (but then again, you're spending some dosh for a good cause so a few extra dollars wouldn't hurt at all!) Happy thrifting guys!
anon: thanks heaps for the help annieo i think i'll go with the dark denim and the blazer op hehe my legs are HORRID in skirts thanks again!! you helped out sooo much it was my pleasure anon :) let me know how your party went! hehehe
p.s to 19375th anon thankyou for your words of praise hehehe but honestly, i'll answer the questions that don't take too much effort to reply and my blog isn't exactly well known so i'm never really bombarded with too many questions. But it was sweet of you for acknowledging my dedication and i agree that every op-shop have their own little treasures, some days thrifting can be a hit and other days a miss!
p.p.s this was from a while ago but if I don't squeeze it into one of my entries, theres really no use for it at all ahhaha. My mum thought I was crazy, walking around the house with a pink and a blue eye.
let me know if i've missed something and feel free to
