So we set the date for a photoshoot on Saturday by the lovely photogs Nina and Marcus, this time we were also shooting the beautiful Lisa, Courtney and Gordon.

I was having another one of those unphotogenic days (or should I say, I was having a normal annie-day hahaha) so I could only pick a few that were decent enough to post, besides that I didn't get anyone's approval before posting these pictures yet so I might get a lashing or two from the others hahaha but I am completely in love with the shots of Courtney against the wheat and baby blue sky so I couldn't help myself but to get to editing the photos for a quick post! I've saved the best till last so keep on scrollin' guys :)

@anon, bazaar, Jessica, Name: The Ladakh/Anise items were all grabbed from their sample sale in Surry Hills, I have no clue when their next sale will be but I'll try to give you guys the heads up. Most of the time I find out about these sales through either friends, forums or facebook haha but I also regularly check up this website for any sales!

@J: the fabric dye was from Spotlight, my go-to for DIY supplies! :)

@wow: I just grabbed a pile of rubber bands and tied the top in random bunches, to be honest I was very anxious dyeing the top, I had no clue whether or not it would show up the way I hoped haha

@christine: the dye was Velvet Black but I didn't leave the shirt in as long as the reccomended time and after rinsing out the excess dye the shirt did turn navy. I wanted to buy the dye in "Gunmetal grey" but initially set out to buy Gunmetal Grey but none were left so I figured I could quickly use the black!

@Name: Name, if I could narrow where I shop down, I would say - I will enter any store within my walking distance, no matter how shabby or run-down. You'll never know whether a store will deliver or not until you have a browse inside! I will shop anywhere and everywhere no matter where I am, try to stop me if you dare LOL

@=D: Never judge a thrift store by appearance because thrift stores especially can be so deceiving! But thrifting good items also comes out of pure luck, some days you'll find jems and other days you'll find rags so perserverence is the key! (gosh listen to me, I sound like I'm giving lessons on life. I'm the last person that should be giving lessons to people on life LOL) but I guess the general area with pleasant thrift streets would be Newtown, they do tend to overprice their pre-loved goods though, which is why I encourage you to give your local thrifties a go!

So I've been on the hunt for a simple tie dye tank for a while now and this week I decided to get off my ass, grab an old singlet and do the job myself. Although I'm happy with the results, I do wish that I saved the dye for a nicer top - so this is only the beginning of the tie dye projects! (and I'm feelin' some acid wash projects also underway!)

1. I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been. Over the past two years I've gained a lot of weight. I'm not comfortable with the way I look and although I'm not morbidly obese, I'm definitely not skinny and I'd like to be. i have fat arms.

2. I enjoy makeup, its fun to use and fun to learn about but for the most part I like it because I don't like myself without it. Only my family, close friends and the boyfriend - people who I know won't judge me - have the misfortune of seeing me wake up bare faced with crazy bed hair and morning breath haha. Disgusting? Yeah well that's why you haven't seen it.

3. I don't consider myself as an intelligent person. I have to study very hard to get decent results but that doesn't mean I don't try. I'm just not that smart.

4. When I hop on the internet in my spare time, I will most likely end up facebook stalking. I may have been an old, creepy internet predator in a past life, I know more about some people than I should haha ;)

5. Only recently have I realized that life had a lot to do with bitching and gossip - now I don't remember life without it. The outrageous things some girls do just don't come as a surprise to me anymore haha.

Okay so I only had 5 confessions for now, but I feel better already.

Besides uni eating up my soul again, I had a couple of things in mind that I wanted to say for this entry, but its been too long since my last update so now I'm completely stumped. It was probably just some bitching and moaning about agitating things like uni expenses - textbooks, parking, food and whatnot.

Mummy just treated herself to a Bellevue PM in Amarante but she's thinking of getting it exchanged, she's been tossing between the Amaranteand the Pomme or the Epi Alma in Rubis. I've been telling her to go for the Epi Alma but my mum has been scouting a new bag for a while now so whatever she decides to treat herself to will be her decision, I will post up some piccies once she's made up her mind hehe.

I think I might be a patent whore. I am really hungry for the Melrose Avenue in either Amarante or Bleu Nuit and the Sobe Clutch in Bleu Nuit! But I've decided that theres really no need for me to stock up on bags for now and I'm saving my funds for other things (key word: for now.)

So the two highlights from these passing weeks have been: 1) Amelia's birthday dinner and 2) Annie & Lena's birthday

1) HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA!

We had dinner at Hogsbreath and scored ourselves a free chocolate cake haha the girls and I ordered in the two items Amelia has been wanting for so long! Coastal Scent's Neutral Palette plus another gift (which I will leave undisclosed haha). Highlights would have been the look on her face when she recieved both gifts.. especially the second! Happy Birthday me love! xxx

2) HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNIE & LENA!

Annie & Lena's birthday at arthouse was a blast! I had such a good time, its been one of the best outtings I've had in a long while! The only downside to it was that I refused to take my jacket off and I was sweating like a chicken roasting in an oven (not a good look for the camera annie, not a good look!)

yes i agree, that is a very random question indeed haha. Well personally I don't have the desire to get a tattoo if that's what you're asking but generally speaking I don't really mind them at all. Since it is permanent I figure its a given that a person who makes the decision to get a tattoo will get something that is meaningful to them, which I think is wonderful. Apart from that, I don't really favour meaningless decorative ink. Unless of course, its beautiful. haha


D: Anyways Annie I just wanted to ask you, for your old work place when you did the interview what did they make you do exactly? Was it hard and did a lot of people get hired?

Please excuse me if I write you an essay but I'll list the interview process as precisely as I can for you. The interview was a group interview and we had to do three different acitivities.
     Activity 1: Everyone is given butcher's paper which is creased into 4 different segments. In the first segment you have to draw what your future professional/personal goals are, the second segment you have to list some skills you've gained from your previous workplace, the third segment you have to explain your most successful sale and the processes you took for it and the last segment is for why you want the job. You're given, I think it was 5mins(?) to do it then you present it to the group.
     Activity 2: Everyone is given a sheet of paper with some information about a product to sell, when I did it I was given solar panels and it just had information about their prices, the government rebate and etc. You're given 10mins to read it then you'll be taken into a room to do two stimulus calls and try to make a sale.
     Activity 3: Everyone then listens to a recorded call then in groups you will list the positives and negatives of the call which you will then present.
      Generally only about 4 people in the group didn't get the job but if you're successful you will be recieving a call the very next day! Goodluck!

cat there is really nothing to envy! My hair is unhealthy, knotty and dry :( It's my real hair, I'm scared to cut it which explains why its so long (also explains all the split ends!)

Yes I do work for Guthy&Renker! I mentioned in my previous blog that I work for Proactiv and Sheer Cover but they've put me specifically with Sheer Cover. And also the Nude Delight sounds like quite a delight! hehe I'll be sure to try it next drugstore raid, the only drugstore lippie I do have is a Revlon lippie which unfortunately after watching and reading many, many reviews and going from one store to the next because it was sold out almost everywhere, I wasn't happy with :(

Hahahaa I'm digging these completely random comments. Unfortunately mandy I have a confession - I don't drink milk. I can drink flavoured milk but it's just something about plain milk that I can't relate with! Maybe its the smell(?) or something (I really shouldn't be smelling my milk anyway hahaha) but I have very brittle teeth and as much as I'm advised to drink more milk, I can't do it. askjska: hey annie how many peircings do you have?

I see there are tattoo and peircing enquiries here, whats going on guys? haha. Well this is an interesting one, I used to have 6 on my ears, 4 on my left ear and 2 on my right but most of the holes have blocked up now, I don't even wear earrings on my earlobe peircings now. I think the two on each earlobe are still there. The ones on my cartilidge healed away pretty fast.
    I also used to have a belly peircing. Believe it or not I peirced it not once, not twice, but three times. Yep thats right. I'm an idiot. haha. The first time I had it peirced was at Ella Rouge and to me it looked a bit crooked (never go to Ella Rouge, I repeat, never!), so it healed and I peirced it again at Industrie8. Industrie8 did a good job but silly me was using the wrong bellyrings and it got infected, I then decided a bellyring was too much hassle so I let it heal over again. Then I eventually missed it and got it pierced again at Industrie8 again. And I haven't used a bellyring in years now, its healed over and I have a bit of scarring where the piercings used to be. Young and stupid!
     I've decided peircings aren't my thang. hahahaha

the minute the weather gets warmer i find myself some neat cheap jumpers! As selfish as this sounds, I really wish it stays cold for just a bit longer - I am NOT ready for singlets and shorts! I like my stockings and shapeless baggy jumpers, I like tucking my tuck-shop arms away!

now before you continue, prepare yourself for a lame-esque dorky collage of the thrifted items I managed to find last op-shop raid. For some reason I forgot one jumper, I think it may be lost in the wash, I'll post that up next entry but for the time being ...

tuesday night of singing haha




I can not believe that after this week is over, its time to head back to uni again! I had work Mon - Sat, Tuesday night the gang decided they wanted to sing at K, Friday night was Mounties, Saturday night was Courtney's birthday and today was the very eventful ...wait for it.... the Masterchef finale at Paul's house! Hahaha

Paul and I were both routing for Poh to win, when it was Julie's turn to do the taste test and she said "port" Paul jumped up with a triumphant "YEAH!" hahahaha - I also have to show you what he JUST typed to me, about 2 seconds ago. I was telling him how I was in the mood for his lemony migoreng, he makes migoreng and squeezes in some lemon and I asked him who taught it to him, which he responded with:

Courtney's birthday was an awesome night! I swear there is not one thing that can keep that girl from dancing till the club closes! hahaha. It was the first time I've seen Courtney and Lisa all glammed up since our year 12 formal and you girls blow me away every time! GORGEOUS girls!

The only downside to the night was that it completely put my sleeping patterns out of whack. I didn't get to sleep until about 12pm the next day. Its currently 6:18am and I'm here... watching this other clip that paul just gave me.... i'm so proud he's my boyfriend....

and hoorah! I ended up (surprisingly) passing all my subjects! I did get a big scare the day results were released though, there was a subject that came up as 44 - Z - FAIL, I emailed the faculty after realizing I was already on 44 before I completed the final exam so there was no way I could've scored 0 for that exam, I got a reply the next morning telling me that they were really sorry because they had forgot to add my final exam marks onto my overall mark. This is ridiculous! Its the second time they've nearly jipped me by a lot of marks! My uni really wants me to fail....

Whenever you see those photos with good lighting they are taken from my friend's camera, my friend Nina has a professional camera and if she's attending an event then you can expect to see a multitude of photos from her camera. Here here M, I too have little in the lash department! I've had this question before and I suggest MAC and Manicare lashes. You'll probably run by some places that stock really cheap falsies and my advice for when you stumble across them would be to make sure you feel them before you purchase them, if the lashes dont feel like eyelashes - they won't look good on because you can definitely tell the difference in quality in pictures and in person.
